Anastasia Pittman is a 5th generation Oklahoman, raised in Spencer and has resided in  Oklahoma City for over 45 years. “Growing up in Spencer, I did not have the kind of childhood many imagine when they think of the word “home.” I was rescued from the foster care system by my native grandparents. I experienced firsthand the gaps that children often face when dealing with the Department of Human Services. I know what it means to fall through the cracks and what it is like to feel invisible. That experience shaped my commitment to fight for foster kids, collaborate on policy and rebuild families.
